THE PROCESS

Consult

If you are interested in a custom bicycle, the process begin by filling out our contact form and we reply and schedule a time for a phone call. On this call we will discuss with you about bike use, style, budget and components.

We want to know what you like, dislike, who you are as a person, and a rider. What matters to you when you are out riding. In an ideal world, this consult happens in person in our shop in Six Mile, Nelson BC, but we can easily do this virtually.

Estimate

After the phone consult, we will send a custom bike estimate with the approximate number of hours, materials, and components. In addition, we send out a deposit invoice that once paid secures your project in the cue.

Bike Fit

We recommend all our customers to get a bike fit from their local bike fitting expert. Having a good sense of body shape and measurements allows us to take the whole rider into the frame design. Comfort, ideal power output, and an excellent handling bicycle comes from a bicycle with the best fit.

With the input we receive from our consult, we create a CAD design of frame with time spent considering the rider specs, end use and best geometry. We select the perfect quality tubing for either performance or utility. Once the parts arrive we cut, mill, turn, weld, prep, paint and finish.
